Prioritization – One Key to Maximize Your Time
Sep 17th
Many people seem to think that they have to do something to improve their self-quality. It is not an easy thing to do indeed and it needs courage and strong heart for doing such a thing. You should do self-reflection first and think of what should be done to help you to improve yourself. There are many things can be done but the most important thing is concerned with the way to maximize your time. This is makes sense since you only live once but there are many things you should do.
You should maximize your time to do whatever you should do and not to waste your time for doing ineffective and even unimportant things. However, you may also find people who seem to have a lot of time. Unfortunately, they seem cannot express the way they spend their time effectively. This means that they actually have spent their time but they have not highlighted the activities that should be prioritized first. They just do it randomly as if they have no plans of what should be done first and next. For this reason, making prioritization is necessary to maximize your time, to prevent chaos in your life and of course to improve yourself.
Prioritization is surely an important skill that you need to make the very best use of your efforts. Remember that you do not always have plenty of time. Sometimes you just have limited time while the demands you should fulfill are unlimited. You have to spend your time wisely so that all of the demands can be fulfilled and thus you can move forward successfully. Make a simple prioritization first. There are basically three considerations to make a prioritization.
Firstly, make a prioritization based on the potential advantages of the task or activity that you are facing. This first consideration is considered as the most common and rational basis for making prioritization. It usually gives you the most efficient results in maximizing your time so that you can finish your task or project successfully. Secondly, you can create prioritization based on the time constraints. This is very important since other people may depend on you to complete the task given. When the time given is limited, you have to make prioritization and decide which task you should complete first. Lastly, it is pressure which is also essential in making prioritization. Pressure may come from your boss, your family, your lecturer etc. You might be said as a fool person if you do not feel depressed when you get pressure from your surroundings. Normally, you will not resist your boss pressure to finish the task given to you, for example. When pressure is considered reasonable, you have nothing to do but to finish the task.
From the explanation above, it can be said that making prioritization is a very common way to maximize your time. Try to make a prioritization in your daily life. Sit for a while and think of what things or tasks you should prioritize based on those three considerations. Spend your time effectively and do not waste your time to do unimportant things. Make a list of your prioritization for a week first. Obey and complete each task on your list based on its order. That is the key to maximize your precious time and indeed the key to improve yourself.
