Maintaining Balance in Your Life
Sep 20th
I receive many e-mails almost weekly from people who tell me that they do not have enough time in their already hectic busy lives to do what they must do. And I’ll admit that yes life can be extremely busy at times with work, your family, your career, and your own marriage.
But guess what, 24 hours in a day is all the time that God has given any of us. My response to everyone is that you do not have enough time in a day-it is that you are not prioritizing and organizing your day so you have balance in your life.
I endorse a holistic approach to goal setting about me, in that I
believe that God intends for us to have equal balance in all three areas of our lives (mind, body, spirit)
Mind/Mental
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)
The bible is clear on this. We should all strive to be more Christ-like in our approach to our daily lives. Are you filling your mind with knowledge and wisdom or foolishness and debauchery? You are a reflection of what you entertain (good bad or indifferent), it doesn’t matter. You either entertain enough positive thinking of enough hope, or you allow your mind to be controlled by enough fear.
Physical Body
1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Our physical bodies are the literal temple of God. For non-believers this may be a difficult concept to understand, but Christianity is based upon a personal relationship with God Himself. It is though our faith that God imparts knowledge to us, for us who seek his face.
The point here is we are to honor God’s temple (our physical bodies), by taking care of our bodies. Are you getting enough rest and exercise or are you over weight? Are there any addictions in your life that you need to break away from?
Spiritual Body
2 Peter 1:3-4, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness
Lastly, how is your spiritual growth with God? God is personal God who desires a personal relationship with all God’s children. But you need to seek him in prayer, so God can be part of your life in providing balance in your life.
Balance in your life does not come from the TV, it doesn’t come from your frat buddies, or your girl-friend, or your social networks, or from the beer or wine or pills you are taking to escape life. True Balance can only come from having a relationship with Jesus Christ-Lord God himself. If after everything else you’ve tried in vain has not worked in your life and you’ve failed, you’ve got nothing else to loose than asking God to be Lord of your life. Your life is waiting.
Staying Connected With Higher Self Through Meditation
Sep 8th
We all consist of a Four Body System and how deeply we are integrated into the various parts of that system determines how we approach our life-situation on a daily basis. If you could discover how to simply acknowledge that you do indeed have these multiple aspects of the body, without allowing them to control you, your life would be a lot happier. Through meditation you can consciously stay connected with the highest power of this system, the Spiritual Body.
The Four Body System consists of the:
1.Spiritual Body
2.Mental Body
3.Emotional Body
4.Physical Body
The actual sequence of the Four Body System is of the utmost importance with respect to our perceived level of happiness.
Example – Typically Out of Alignment System:
The vast majority of humankind lives their life based upon having the Four Body System reversed, where control is perceived at the Physical Body first.
?Physical Body – When the Physical Body is first, it identifies as situations happening to me (identity), or a physical reality.
?Emotional Body – This in turn excites the Emotional Body, where as, now a feeling is generated due to what is perceived as having been done to my physical identity.
?Mental Body – These emotions then excite the Mental Body into thinking about what has happened to me (my story), usually based upon thoughts of the past and false beliefs that then lead to some type of reaction to the life-situation experienced.
?Spiritual Body – Then finally, after much self inflicted torment, the Spiritual Body sends a message that perhaps you may be over-reacting to the situation at hand. At that point, an inner dialog or discussion within lower self begins and a decision is consciously made to either build on the story (which the Mental Body created) or to drop the issue in acceptance of what is.
The difficulty with this type of pattern is, it usually leads to fear based action, unless, you have learned to catch yourself when you see this destructive pattern emerging.
Example – Naturally in Alignment System:
If we analyze the same situation and reverse the control mechanisms of our Four Body System, there is a completely different result.
?Spiritual Body – When the Spiritual Body is in control, when a life-situation occurs – it is first acknowledged as what is – and acceptance is immediately allowed. The perception is merely “this happened,” it did not happen to me, it simply happened.
?Mental Body – Then the Mental Body activates to confirm; yes, this happened and some type of action may be required.
?Emotional Body – Next, the Emotional Body ignites with a feeling of empowerment to the challenge; it creates positive solution based emotions and provides action to resolve the issue, rather than focusing on the problem.
?Physical Body – The result is the Physical Body feels peaceful and excited that there is a challenge to resolve. The Physical Body remains stress-free and the solutions appear from a higher knowledge base. The beauty of this type of pattern is the Four Body System then works in harmony, without fear, and feels peaceful knowing that love through divine power and wisdom can bring light to any life-situation.
In each of the above examples, the resultant actions will vary dramatically, depending on whether you are living your life in a state of love or fear. This may sound rather idealistic to some of you; however, if you make a focused effort to realign yourself with the Spiritual Body (through daily meditation), your life will be more balanced and in alignment with the higher level of understanding, which is experienced through love, peace and light.
