1. Empty your closet of mess and clutter. Use two boxes to separate items that you are going to throw out and those that you decide to keep.
2. Clean your closet thoroughly after emptying it and determine if there are damages that have to be repaired. Apply treatments or repaint if necessary.
3. Determine what items you will fold and what you are going to hang. If you fold some shirts, ensure that you do them neatly and arrange them properly. Consider arranging them according to their color and do the same with the clothes you are going to hang.
4. You can also try to arrange your closet based on their uses, such as separating the work clothes from weekend clothes.
5. Arrange your closet according to how you usually get dressed in the morning. If you are the kind who considers wearing shirts first before pants or skirts, arrange your top neatly near the closet door, followed by skirts or pants and the rest of your things.
