How to Focus and Live in the Present

In order to live in the present and focus on enjoying the moment, you must learn to relax and to keep your mind fully captivated on each task that you are engaged in.
Although this can prove to be difficult at first, it can be done. The problem is that most of us tend to do one thing but we have our minds elsewhere trying to solve some other problem.
Because of this, we tend to lose some of the value that each moment has. It’s as almost as if life is passing us by because we’re always so focused on getting something, or attaining some far off result.
By learning to enjoy each and every passing moment, we develop a new zest for life and we become more grateful for the things that we do have rather than the things that we don’t.
Slow Down
Learn to slow down your thoughts by thinking only about what you are doing. For instance, if you are cooking, then fully concentrate and engage in that cooking. Don’t think about what you are going to cook tomorrow or the following week. Only think about what you are doing, become conscious of the process itself.
The results from doing this for the various tasks in your life will be amazing. If you can apply this to your work for instance, you will notice that you tend to make fewer mistakes on the job or in your business. Not only that, but you will also be aware of the many opportunities that will present themselves simply because of your concentrated thinking.
An excellent way to do this is to become conscious of your breathing while you are doing what you are doing. This is merely a step to help you to get your mind focused on what you’re doing. By first focusing on your breathing, you take your mind off of the thousands of other random thoughts in your brain and you can now channel that thinking onto your task.
Do Less
Doing less means that you should simply do less while you are working. Instead of trying to do two things at once, focus on doing only one thing at a time and do it consciously and carefully. Quality of work is always better than quantity of work.
Although we live in an age that praises productivity, multitasking is actually an efficient way to get things done if you want to do your best work and live in the present moment.
Learn to fully focus on one thing at a time and set an allotted amount of time for each task so that your mind can fully engage in that single task. When the time is up for one task, then you can completely switch your mind to another task and achieve a higher level of productivity simply because the work is being done with more passion and more attention.
Strategies to Eliminate Negativity From Your Life

It is a new month and that means we have another 31 days to come closer to our dreams and goals that we have.
Last time we spoke quite a bit on “limiting Beliefs”. Let us continue in that direction. Once you recognize a limiting belief then you can do something about it and take positive action. Start with the exercise of ELIMINATING NEGATIVE THINKING FROM YOUR LIFE FOR THE NEXT 30DAYS. Let us make August the month for eliminating negativity from our lives. Whenever a limiting belief enters your mind “turn it around.” For example you may have random thoughts that you are never going to accomplish your Goal that you have set and you begin to feel really low and carry a negative vibe; instantly turn that feeling around and really feel that you have accomplished it by using the tool I gave you a few days ago – VISUALIZATION WITH EMOTION. “Visualize that you have achieved that goal already” and it will act as an instant PICK ME UP.
The next thing we can do is to have a DREAM BOOK. This is a book only for you where you put down all your dreams; big and small. Then write down what is stopping you from achieving that dream and get it out of the way by eliminating excuses and stop blaming other people for your failures and frustrations. Take responsibility and move ahead.
Here are a few things you can do to eliminate “limiting beliefs.”
1. Positive affirmations – for example – I love myself and I deserve to lose weight and look and feel fabulous.
2. Choose to look for the bright side of every situation even when things are not going your way. I have done this so many times and initially it was challenging and almost seems like you are mocking yourself because you are going through a bad patch but you have to push through that “reality” and see the good part of that bad situation. Everything has two sides to it.
3. This next one is in my book the most important strategy for me and works every time. It is “prayer and meditation.” Talk to God and he will answer you back through signs in your daily life. Meditation is how you can connect with God and it also will ease your soul and mind.
4. Focus on what you want. In spite of everything that goes on in your life never lose focus of what is important to you. Nobody has a perfect life but the difference between the successful and the failures is FOCUS AND DETERMINATION.
