Your Happiness is Within!
Aug 28th
It is said that everything is energy and that there is an Intelligence that shapes this energy into our universe, our planet, our life. You might like to check out what science, quantum physics, has to say about this these days. It is also said that this Intelligence is within all of us, indeed within everything. People call this Intelligence by different names but in the end they are all talking about the same thing.
Getting consciously in touch with this Intelligence is best accomplished by meditating. Also Personal Growth is much accelerated when one takes time to meditate to get consciously in touch with this All Encompassing Presence. It is very beneficial for health and overall well being too. Plus as you grow spiritually you will find genuine joy and discover your Holy Grail within.
Another Personal Growth accelerator is Gratitude, feeling grateful.
When you wake up in the morning make sure that before you get out of bed you think of everything you can be grateful for.
For example: I am grateful for the sun. I am grateful for the air I breath. I am grateful for the morning light. I am grateful for the night rest I have enjoyed. I am grateful for the new day. I am grateful for my beautiful children. I am grateful for my friends. I am grateful for the birds and the trees. I am grateful for my feet. I am grateful for my arms.
Even if you might not start off feeling particularly grateful you will be amazed how you will start to feel grateful and blessed just by saying or thinking these and other gratitude quotes. Writing gratitude quotes down is also very effective.

Here is a meditation exercise you could do:
Sit with a straight spine, hands loosely resting on your legs and both feet on the ground. If you can sit cross legged on the floor that is also very good. Imagine a long strong beam of light (or cord, tree trunk, waterfall, root, whatever you prefer) extending from the base of your spine all the way to the centre of the Earth. LET anything that is troubling you fall away down this beam of light to the very centre of the Earth where it is neutralised and absorbed. Feel the pull from the Earth and LET anything that is not beneficial for you fall away into the Earth. Feel grounded, feel connected to the Earth. Now bring your attention to the centre of your head behind your eyes. Ask for all of your awareness to gather there in the centre of your head. LET it happen easily without straining. RELAX even if you feel that not all of you is there TRUST that eventually all of your awareness will be there. Now ask for a golden sun to start gently shining in the centre of your head. LET this beautiful golden sun ease, sooth and cleanse the centre of your head behind your eyes. RELAX. Know that you are home, know that you have arrived. Stay there as long as you like resting in the centre of your head, connected to the Earth.
Over time as you practise this meditation your head will become quieter and clearer. You will start to sense the Universal Intelligence.

Clutter and Hoarding – The Emotional Whiplash of Letting Go
Aug 14th
Have you ever felt so proud of yourself for letting go of some of your clutter, only to find inside your heart you felt sadness? Many of my clients have expressed that while they were very happy they had made progress in their journey of releasing their clutter, they also felt an overwhelming sense of sadness. I am going to explain why this sadness is real and give a couple ideas how to help release that feeling. You may find this helps in many other aspects of life as well.
Several of my clients have mentioned to me that the sadness that they feel after reaching a marked goal in releasing their clutter is overwhelming and painful. I have thought this through and would like to use the example of being in a car accident. In a car accident, your adrenaline is high and you feel a euphoric high as your endorphins go crazy. You may not notice the physical pains that are going on as you may have been injured and haven’t even realized it yet. The pain of the whiplash may not show up for days or weeks.
It is the same principal when working personal growth. As you achieve a new level of awareness, you may be feeling very proud of yourself. You may feel happy with your new success. And then all of a sudden, you feel so sad and you just can’t understand why. The endorphins have slowed. And now you may find yourself feeling an emotional whiplash.
I have often likened this to the dying of the old lower self. You are becoming a new being with a new level of awareness. You are becoming your true self, your higher self. Many find it very difficult to let go of their old lower self with the limiting beliefs and fears. I have some suggestions that may help in this process. My clients have had great success with this. Several have said that with these methods, they are able to better handle the emotional whiplash.
You may even realize that the shift in the mind may have been about a story or situation that had nothing to do with the clutter that was released. More importantly, the limiting or self-sabotaging belief or thought had been holding you back for so long.
This emotional whiplash is normal and can easily be released through understanding and positive self-talk. It is important to remind yourself of how great you felt when you first achieved this new growth. It is also equally important to remind yourself of your goals and how this is just one step in the process of getting there.
Many of my clients have found that by using hypnotherapy to get in touch with the underlying feelings and emotions, they are then able to release them in a less painful manner. It is important to be gentle and kind to yourself. Personal growth is a process that is to be done for our entire life, not something that we can jump into and expect to be perfect. Improving the process is the goal, not an end-result perfection.
