Walk-In Closet Organizers – Less Clutter In Your Life

There is nothing more frustrating than a cluttered and disorganized closet and if it is a walk-in closet that you can no longer walk into than the problem goes from frustrating to irritating. When the floor is so cluttered that you have to walk up hill to get to the other end of the closet it is definitely time to organize.
The concept of the walk-in closet is that you do not have to stand outside the closet and reach for what you want as you had to do in the old fashioned closet days. With a walk-in closet the idea is that you will be able to walk into the closet directly and grab what you are looking for. If you cannot do this then your closet is in line for organization.
There is always a top shelf that is home to everything. This “catch all” should be divided into a series of smaller shelves going up to the ceiling where you can store things without them coming down on your head every time you want to grab something. At some point modular slots and shelves should be installed to hold shoes and handbags as well as small cubes and drawers that should be installed to accommodate folded clothing and other items.
Walk-in closets have all sorts of possibilities for organization. There are different closet options and add-ons for whatever you want or need at the various home improvement stores. However before you buy or start the process of re-organization here is a summary of things you will have to do.
First, end the clutter and dispose of the things you no longer want or need. Second, take into consideration the shape of the closet and its measurements. With these two things in mind you can go and search for the organizational needs of your new closet. Don’t forge to get cedar blocks to make your new closet smell nice and keep insects out.
Closet cleaning and organizing is not anyone’s favorite job in the house but it is something that has to be done occasionally. If you make it an accessible walk-in closet you will feel better about maintaining it more often and you will dispose of unwanted items more readily.
