<p>For years, there have been debates on how sweaty palms started. There was no known direct cause of sweaty palms. Many people get sweaty palms when they are nervous, or if they get agitated. However, most people do not leave paper soaked when they are writing, or have sweat drip from their hands when they are not even doing anything. Though sweating is a necessity for our body to excrete some harmful fluids, having it excessively is not normal. And thusthe common definition of sweaty palms is an excessive production of sweat by the sweat glands, medically known as Hyperhidrosis<strong>.</strong></p>
<p>The most common denominator is genetic predisposition. There are other factors that may contribute to generalized total or focal body hyperhidrosis and those are obesity, hyperthyroidism, infections, diabetes, etc.?They even speculate that it is due to excessive iodine, some because of stress such as anxiety, some say it is genetically transferred. No matter what the cause, still having a sweat ridden hand isn&#8217;t a good thing. So what do you do to prevent it? Here are some of the things you may do to avoid having them.</p>

Take cost, invasiveness, and convenience into considerationTry the simplest solution first. But remember conservative treatments have limited success rates.For immediate relief, wash your hands with cold water and soap. This will stop the sweating temporarily.One of the simplest cures for sweaty palms that works well for some people is to use powder or cornstarch to soak up the excessive perspiration that ends up on their hands. The only problem with this technique is you need to keep reapplying it to prevent breakthrough sweating.Also learning to control stress can be an effective and natural way to reduce the occurrence of sweaty hands. There are a variety of ways to do this including meditation, biofeedback, and yoga.Additionally, if they say that emotion is one of the causes of you sweaty palm, then you can try to stop sweaty hands through self-hypnosis. This will involve repeating the phrase &#8220;I don&#8217;t have sweaty hands, now they are dry.&#8221; to yourself, aloud, at least 3 times a day, for several weeks.Try having alternative treatments like acupuncture, topical anti-perspirants, pills, even surgery and the new in-thing nowadays, Botox.</p>
