Need Help Forgiving Yourself?
Sep 11th
When you hear the phrase, “forgive and forget” how does it make you feel? It gives off the scent that it’s quick and easy, but, it isn’t. We rarely forget, and we forgive others faster than we would ever forgive ourselves. Have you ever wondered why?
When we were young, we were raised to kiss and make up. So, we are open to forgiving those who have harmed or hurt us. The problem: we’ve been taught to turn outward and forgive. We were rarely taught to turn inward. In short, you need to learn how to forgive… yourself.
See Every Mistake As Your Ally
You begin learning self-forgiveness when you see every mistake as an ally. Mistakes teach you so much more about who you are than the absence of them. Years ago, I considered my mistakes enemies. They were the dark corners of my life that needed to be avoided. What I feared more than anything, was my ability to overcome it. I never believed I would come out alive. More importantly, I had to learn that making the mistake didn’t make me less of a person. The old me used to mentally chant, “I should’ve known better,” over and over and over again. It made me feel worse and accomplished nothing.
By making my mistakes allies, I’ve learned so much more about who I am. I’ve learned how to create a new and resourceful out of many situations. I now know that each mistake is here to teach me something grand. So, whether you’ve been overly criticize as a child or today you criticize yourself, put that invisible club down.
The one you use to beat yourself over the head. You are human. In case you forgot. Humans make mistakes. When you allow a mistake to teach you and grow you, forgiveness becomes a friend.
Wishing you more forgiveness everyday!

Happiness Begins When You Decide to Take Good Care of Yourself
Sep 1st
All great things begin on the inside of us. Make no mistake about it, if you want someone else to make you happy you have to make yourself happy.
So what is happiness for you? Are you happy to be alive, have good health, married, have children? These are just some of the things you can be happy about, but its more than this.
We were created to be happy. Are you happy with the way your life is? If you are not, chances are you are not happy. The road to happiness begins on the inside of you, I call it your heart and your head.
Here is to you not being happy because of things. You can purchase the most expensive house and or car, but it will not translate to happiness. The reason it will not translate to happiness is because human beings need other people, they do not need things to be happy and many times the things simply have no value.
The best way to ensure you are happy is to make a personal assessment of your life. In other words, do you love yourself? I really hope the answer to this question is yes, you love yourself because it will signal to me that you care about yourself.
As part of your happiness assessment, do you wish to live longer? That question is for people who pretend to be happy but really are not. Another way to find out if you are happy is to find out if you care about your health, mental state and physical well being. Answer no to any of these questions and you may need to seek a professional.
Happiness does translate to love, if you are not happy you will not share the most valuable gift known to humanity, love. Loving yourself translates to loving others, this includes loving your spouse, your children and your parents and siblings and relatives.
What would you say if I asked you, “Do you love Christ?” God created us all, do you love Christ and if so does it make you happy? Only you can determine whether you are happy or not, hopefully the answer is yes.
A life filled with happiness is a sure sign you will be a very productive person. Never allow anyone or anything sand between you and happiness because it is a rare commodity in deed. Make your personal assessment and you will discover your happiness rating, I know it will be a high number.
