How Does The Mind Benefit From Meditation?

Our minds can be very complicated structures that need tender loving care.
By over thinking, and over analyzing and worrying too much, we can blow our mental fuse all too often.
Obviously not letting the mind go into over time would be ideal, however not many of us were taught how to tame the mind. We do know better today, and the tools are available if we only look around.
Would you like to relax the mind? Start Meditating. As soon as I put myself down into my Meditation chair, close my eyes and take the first few breaths, I can feel a difference.
Relaxation
A light meditative state is called alpha level. The mind slows down it’s busy work, all it’s excess thinking, and can now relax. It is harder to worry and stay tense in this state.
Oxygenation
Breathing while in a relaxed meditative state increases the oxygen levels to the brain. Therefore, the brain cells are being fed more of what they need, and can function on a higher level. Your brain power becomes sharper, you become more alert, and can focus more quickly.
Rejuvenation
I am not speaking of the body but of the mind. There is an awful lot of information stored somewhere in the mind, basically everything we have ever learn heard, or seen. Wouldn’t it be nice if all that could come up whenever we need it? Surprisingly it can. When we clutter our closets and drawers, it’s impossible to find what we need when we need it. It is similar with the mind. Clutter in this case is the superfluous information such as old thoughts and beliefs, fears, traumatic memories, negative emotions. Meditating daily cleans house for you.
Joyous Emotions
Happiness and joy is our natural state of being. We layer ourselves like an onion with heaviness and sadness without even realizing it, blocking out all the “happy”. And again, by Meditating daily, the darker layers peel themselves off. Very often, when these layers have peeled off, I find a surge of gratitude coming up. I feel like loving everything and everyone. Also, I get of sense of excitement. It’s as if I can take on anything, and succeed.
When you put all these benefits together, it can get really nice inside your mind. And it can also last throughout the day. Remember that if you need another dose of TLC, all you have to do is Meditate again.Enjoy watching the beneficial changes.
