Self esteem is something that is important to have. When you feel good about yourself, you will be more confident and be able to do more things and meet more people without as many issues. Start forming some healthy relationships with people. Many times those with lower self esteem get into relationships where they are always the giver or even get used by people. These are not healthy relationships. Find people who treat you like an equal. Get to know them. In these you will start to feel more comfortable with yourself.
Start writing down situations that bother you and make you feel bad about yourself. Sometimes this simple act alone will help you see situations differently. You can find out why you are feeling bad and what it is that is bothering you exactly. Sometimes you will see the situation and the raw emotions and where they conflict.
Learn to let things go. Sometimes you might feel bad about yourself because of something that someone said or did to you in the past. Let these things go. There is no need to continue to feel bad for things that other people did or said.
Do things with your time that you can be proud of. Don’t worry about what someone else thinks. Do things that you enjoy. Have these types of goals and meet them. When you do this you will be building esteem.
Get rid of the things or even the people that are causing lower self esteem issues. One very common example is weight. If you lose some weight, you end up feeling better. Work on this physical thing to feel better emotionally.
Speak positively about people and things. If you are negative all the time with your words and thoughts, you will end up feeling negative. Do the opposite.
