Being Confident Is Not About Being Perfect
Aug 31st
Self-confidence is a proactive approach helping individuals face up bravely all life’s challenges and admit any eventual failure. It is understood that confidence improves our ability to solve problems since we focus exclusively on our goals without spending time and energy on negative thoughts and beliefs. Self-confidence acts dynamically simply because we feel motivated to accomplish our expectations and therefore we proceed further.
Confidence is also taken for a positive, serene lifestyle meaning that we choose to deal similarly with pleasant and unpleasant events. The ways we approach unhappy experience definitely make a difference since we are brave enough to admit both failure and success. Thus, confidence is not 100% success or 100% perfection, its percentage covers all aspects of life, the key is to keep a constant level of self-esteem. Many individuals strive to reach perfection in order to become more confident. This belief is confusing and implicitly misleading simply because human nature has not established a specific perfection scale. Moreover, perfection is unlimited concept as any person can assign his own meaning to this notion and a common acceptance of this term could not be developed.
Being perfect might have an endless understanding, yet, no endeavors should be engaged by perfection standards because we have major chances not to reach such standards. Thus, we might attain a negative feedback each tine we will reassess our actions. It is worth pointing out that those who strive to reach perfection assign higher value to others’ opinion than to their own beliefs. Therefore, so-called perfection is based upon “borrowed” standards.
Confidence relies on personal values and beliefs and might be defined as a state of self-acceptance of all our actions, good or bad.
Importance of Mindset
Aug 19th
Did you ever wonder why so many of these books about millionaires always stress the importance of the right frame of mind?
The mind is more powerful than many of use give it credit for. When you keep your dreams close to you by visualizing and quantifying what everything is, your subconscious mind will begin to devise ways to make it a reality. It is no wonder why many rich people tend to be so clever. They want it more than anyone else! Your subconscious mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is not. If you add numbers or “quantify” your dreams, your subconscious mind begins to think of ways to accomplish these numbers. If you tell yourself, I want to be rich and have no goal to this; your subconscious mind does not do anything with these thoughts because there is no goal to achieve.
Another important reason for training your subconscious mind in this way is because of your surroundings. Many people tend to take the path of least resistance. This is just human nature. When we are comfortable, we do not strive for something better. Everyone likes to be comfortable. The problem with this is that you have no way of moving forward to accomplishing your dreams. With being comfortable also comes negative vibes and feedback. This “negative energy” will instantly put a stop to anything good coming your way. Your present state that you are in now is a direct result of your thoughts from the recent past. Friends and family will be the first to tell you that you cannot do something or that your dream is unrealistic. They do not say this to upset you; it is an instinct of protection from failure. If you are not rich already, this type of attitude is intertwined from your upbringing. The easiest way to be rich is to associate with rich people and do what they do. There is a billionaire, I forget his name now, but he said something along the lines of “Your income is the average of the 5 closest people you associate with.”
Think about that for a moment. Who do you associate with that are closest to you? I don’t know about you, but I am thinking I should talk more to my relative that is a doctor or in-law that is making tons of money running some kind of business. Now we can’t just leave our family especially if we do not have any successful or rich people in it and hang out with rich people. This is not recommended either, but we can condition our mind to break out of this rough. Get your pen and paper and write down all of the things you dream of and put some rough numbers on what each thing would cost. These numbers do not have to be exact or even correct, if you are not sure, but you need to have some number assigned to everything so that your mind will begin to devise ways of achieving these things. Now you are on your way to breaking the mold and reprogramming your mind!
