Is Your House Exploding With Clutter? Try These 3 Easy Ways to Reduce Your Clutter Now!
Aug 23rd
If your house is bursting to the brim with clutter then you really need to do something about it now before it gets any worse! You most likely have already tried to reduce your clutter but to no avail, you have probably told yourself that you are lazy and will never be able to get your house tidy and clutter free!
Well with these three easy ways you should be able to get started on sorting your home out so that you can feel proud of your home and actually invite people in without worrying about what they think of your home.
The first tip is to come up with a strategy that you can follow step by step so that you do not become frustrated and overwhelmed when you try and start decluttering your home. Write down which rooms need the most attention first because that way you will not be running around like a headless chicken from room to room, you can just do one room at a time.
The second tip is to go out and buy some sort of storage containers. These can come in really handy when you want to keep stuff but you do not have anywhere to store them, with storage containers you can either slide them under your bed or keep them in a cupboard out of sight.
The third tip is to get yourself a roll of bin bags, what you then want to do is to use some of them for stuff you want to throw away, and then use some for stuff that you might want to give to a charity. When it comes to sorting out what you want to throw away or even give away, you have to be really ruthless otherwise you will find that you are keeping to much stuff that you do not really need and also have not got the room for!
By just implementing those three tips above you will be well on your way to finally sorting out and getting your home decluttered and organized.
If i had to give you another great tip that would be this: Do not put pressure on yourself to get your whole house decluttered in one day! Break it down into steps and do a little bit everyday for a week or even two, that way you will feel a lot better about yourself and you will not feel too pressured and under stress trying to force yourself to rush around all day long and getting nowhere!
Three Big Reasons Why You Need to Declutter Your Home
Aug 23rd
No one wants to live in a cluttered, unorganized home, and no one enjoys visiting that kind of home either. To me, there are three main reasons why you should declutter your home. These are the reasons that helped me change from unorganized and stressed out to organized and happy.
The first reason – Stress. It is no secret that clutter causes stress. Many studies have proven this. People in disorganized spaces are more stressed out than people in organized environments. Can you relate to this? I definitely could. My cluttered house can cause stress in a number of ways. I hate being in a cluttered room of mine, it makes me feel like a pig. It makes me feel like I do not have control over my life. I also hate when I can’t find something important because my house is so cluttered. You will waste a lot of energy when you’re trying to find things.
The second reason – Time. Everyone is busy nowadays, and living in a cluttered environment eats up your time because you spend a lot of time searching for things. If everything has its place and you always know where everything is, then you don’t waste any moments looking for things. Your decluttered house will save your loads of time. You’ll be surprised how much the saved minutes add up from not having to search so long for things.
The third reason – Appearance. Believe it or not, you truly are judged by others for having a cluttered home. If your friends, family or co-workers see you are a cluttered mess who is always losing things, they’re going to think you’re a less capable and competent person. That is a fact. Work hard to show people your true colors, not the messiness of clutter!
The key to the sometimes overwhelming task of decluttering, is to start small. You can do it, little by little. A great place to look for helpful decluttering resources is the Internet.
