Do ever get the feeling we are becoming punch drunk from the amount of stress we soak up every day?

It’s a fact that stressed people are more likely to be unhealthy, poorly motivated, less productive and less safe at work.

This probably doesn’t even surprise you, however if you reduce your stress levels and those of your family and colleagues, surly the opposite must be true.

You could be healthier, more productive, safer and above all inspired! How much impact do you believe these benefits would have on your family, friends and job and dare I say… HAPPINESS?

The current economic illusion is having a huge impact on people’s decisions; some are battening down the hatches for what they perceive is going to be a rough ride, whilst others are going on holiday! Who’s right? A large well known cruise line company is reporting massive increases in bookings and a friend, thinking he was going to have trouble selling his Range Rover could have sold it 10 times over and was told by one prospect that he had called 15 sellers only to be told, “Sorry mate, its sold”. I know these are only two examples, but guess what? Argue for your limitations and sure enough they’re yours.

Today, instead of listening to the news or reading a newspaper why not look for 10 positive things, either in work or at home. Look for the successes and celebrate them, make them a big deal. Give time to your colleagues without expectation you may just be surprised what comes back.

If everyone went out this weekend and spent an extra tenner, it would pump about 2.5 billion pounds into the economy and if we did that every week for the next year wouldn’t it make the difference? I’m not on solid ground with my economics but I’m sure you can see my point.

Have a Brilliant week.
