Mastering Your Thoughts
Jan 19th
Right now, your body, your mind and your life are a reflection of all your past thoughts. Let me re-iterate that, Right now, your body, mind and life are a result of all your past thoughts, what they attracted into your life and the actions you took because of them
As humans, we have over 60,000 thoughts a day. And in every thought lays a special esoteric power. Every single thought you have has a recordable energy that ripples throughout the cells of your body and our world.
Think for yourself. Hold a positive thought in your mind and notice that it makes you feel. Hold a negative thought and notice the exact same thing.
Think of your favorite car, close your eyes, and imagine driving it down the road. Here the roaring engine, feel the power in the speed, feel how happy you are for owning your favorite car, smell the new car smell…Did it work? Couldn’t you use your imagination to create that situation? And for those moments, didn’t you feel good, feel happy?
Go over your friends and family, know any ice-breakers? Most people have someone who can just enter the room and the entire atmosphere improves. “Ice-breakers” just have better vibrations then others, which is why everyone tends to become more relaxed when they enter the room. Don’t they tend to be happier, have self-confidence and stress less over situations?
Let’s talk about the negative for a second. Ever have just one of “those” mornings? You wake up with little to no energy, a little joint pain and just a bad mood? And what happens? The day usually turns out how it started, you wake up in that bad mood and start thinking right away. You start stressing about what you have to do that day (brush your teeth, pay the bills) and just attract more of it into your life.
It seems like waking up in a bad mood had a domino effect on the rest of the day that just brought more bad events into your life. That’s because every thought, positive and negative, contain the power to attract. Your negative thoughts are powerful because not only do you think those thoughts often, but you effortlessly attach feeling and belief into negative thoughts (the keys to attracting successfully).
But if we could take that effortlessness and attach it to our positive thoughts and our dreams, can you imagine how much our lives would change? And the beautiful thing about it is you can start to change your life right now. You choose to control your thoughts right now and you will change your life.
The moment I stumbled upon the law of attraction, I realized the role it had played in my life. I realized why success and failure tended to arrive separately and in large amounts respectively. It gave me an answer to the “why” and the power to manipulate every situation.
It might sound too good to be true, but I think that’s a reason so many people don’t know about it. It’s also why many go without giving it a try and fail to make a change in their lives. You can test this RIGHT NOW and decide for yourself. Until then, I’ll go on knowing that
My thoughts and my feelings create my life.
Getting Along With Difficult People In 3 Easy Steps
Jan 18th
It’s tough getting along with difficult people, but it can be done. Come on, we’ve crossed paths with them since our first day at school.
Remember the kids who we didn’t think we’d get along with? The teachers who always made our lives miserable? And how about that leech of a classmate who never contributed anything to group projects? We’ve all been there and in some cases, are still there!
Getting along with difficult people might be something of a challenge at first; but once you see that you’ve got other options aside from the “grin and bear it” strategy, you’ll be amazed at how easy it can be.
Here are 3 effective ways to deal with them.
Step 1: Smile Genuinely.
We’ve been told to grin and bear unpleasant things so many times that to be told to smile at difficult people just seems so ineffective. But see, there is a huge difference between the two.
Grinning and bearing it means that you’re only tolerating the person or the situation; whereas smiling means that you’re seeing the person or situation in a more positive light.
Instead of concentrating on the negatives, you focus on the positives. Smiling also helps you feel better about the situation as well. Besides, difficult people won’t expect you to smile at them so easily. It’s not only a disarming move, it will also make you look different in their eyes.
Step 2: Understand Where They’re Coming From.
While we deserve an award for getting along with difficult people, that does not make them the bad guys. In fact, you might be surprised at what you uncover once you take the time to understand where other people are coming from.
Let’s take a guy named Eddie as an example. He’s one of the bossiest people you’ve ever met and he constantly nitpicks at every little detail. Most people dislike him and have a hard time dealing with him, but not you.
That’s because you know that he only wants the project to become a success and that he’s giving it his all. Sure, he’s bossy but you know that’s only because he’s a perfectionist.
Someone like you whose priority is to get the job done understands that; and in turn, you don’t feel threatened or annoyed by it.
Step 3: Always Take The Mature Route.
It’s so easy to just give in and scratch another person’s eyes out or hit them with whatever you’ve got lying around, but that’s not going to solve anything.
Getting along with difficult people is not always easy, especially if you don’t have a lot of patience; but giving in to immature urges will only make the situation worse.
So take a deep breath and calm yourself when they irritate or treat you badly. Repeat to yourself several times, “I’m in control of myself.”
Follow these tips and getting along with difficult people will soon become second nature to you.
